I am so grateful my friends and acquintances in Paris were all hopeful and slightly optimistic that Bush would loose. The main question on most of my American friend's tongues since our return has been how did the French respond to the election and how did they treate you before and then after. I need Adobe Photoshop to past the images together to post. I've revisited my phot idea of matching different people's eyes and mouths to create toally new people. We are in the middle of winter and whiskey is just the ticket, here. My mate, Alan Greer sent me a fantastic bottle of Aberlour. I am still in search of Strathisla whiskey. If I knew the address I would mention it. He and other musicians have a "House Concert" planned for Saturday night Jan. I have seen Allan MacDonald for his hair cut but I have not yet had a violin lesson this year. We are splitting the week up and my plaan is to do painting, quilting, fiddling, knitting on my days off. I realize I have an actual physical yearn to be with him and I am so glad he is here. Right now, as a friend described earlier this evening, I am feeling rice crispies bursting inside of me. I am giddy just thinking about having all afternoon on a Saturday (the 31st of December 2005) to bring out my canvas and paint and favorite dusty brushes and to feel it all tingling through me. Tomorrow Jennifer Bean will assist me in her "virgo" way once again reoganizing the space we call my studio. Incredible portfolio of dwgs and ptgs this year and from now on in my life I am first a painter and secondly a musician, hairdresser, a quilter, a knitter, a remodeler, a designer, a prankster, and will find a way to balance being a good friend to the many wonderful people in whose lives I gratefully get to share. I am going to begin this minute by stating my commitment to actively paint. This is the time of year many people make new goals for their lives beginning on Jan. I am visiting my blog for the first time in a very long while.
